Caring for Animals, Connecting Communities

Now Accepting Birds, Reptiles and Small Mammals for Rehabilitation

Monday – Friday
9am – 5pm

If you have a bird you suspect to be injured or ill, please contact our helpline at (760) 203-5500 to schedule a drop-off time.

If you see a wild animal that appears to be sick or injured and it is safe to do so, please place the animal in an enclosed carrier with ventilation holes. Place the animal in a warm, dark, and quiet spot overnight until you are able to bring the wild animal to a permitted rehabber. Please contact our helpline or visit https://wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Laboratories/Wildlife-Health/Rehab/Facilities for a list of certified wildlife rehabilitators in California.
